RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR AN RESOLUTION No. 20- e,)D -CC
INTERIM COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS

WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, RCW 39.34, authorizes intergovernmental agencies
to execute cooperation agreements for the purpose of providing services and facilities for the benefit of
the public and participating agencies; and
WHEREAS, the County Public Works Director position in Grant County will become vacant
February 28, 2020, and
WHEREAS, WAC 136-12-080 requires the county to designate a full time employee to perform
the day-to-day supervisor responsibilities of the county engineering duties not requiring a professional
civil engineering license in accordance with policies established by the legislative authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that
Samuel Dart is hereby authorized to perform all day-to-day supervisor responsibilities of the county
engineering services not requiring a professional civil engineer's licenses. This resolution shall remain in
effect until the County hires a new full time Public Works Director.
