Re: Request for Budget Extension of $866.00
Capital item purchase (Star Rentals for scissor lift)
I am requesting a budget extension in the amount of $866.00 for the increased
quote for a 2016 Hy-Brid HB -1230 Scissor Lift. We were previously approved for a
scissor lift in the amount of $6,600 for capital outlay in the 2020 budget year. Our
previous quote was for a scissor lift that would not suit our exact needs with in the
jail. After some research, we discovered the original lift would not fit our needs. It
was slightly too large to be used in the upper level of the jail.
We obtained 3 competitive quotes and were able to obtain the quote for $7,465.80
(tax inclusive) from Star Rentals in Wenatchee, WA. This was not the lowest quote
however, it was the only lift able to fit our needs in the jail. We will be able to get
this lift up to the upper level of the jail. The quote is $866.00 more than the original
$6,600 approved for. I'm requesting the funding source be from Current Expense
but I will defer to Chief Accountant, Madeline Prentice, for her input.
I have attached the quote from Star Rentals for your information.
