Re: Consent for Budget Extension —Seasonal Help at the Fairgrounds
Due to a budgeting snafu (I didn't realize that I needed to budget temporary Labor) we have no
funds budgeted for seasonal help. Seasonal help typically includes 2 inside staff for five months
each and 4 outside staff.
For 2019 the budgeted amount was $62,000 with $33,018.90 spent. In 2018, the expenditure
was $61,609.32.
The problem we had last year was keeping seasonal staff due to the hourly rate of $12. This
year, minimum wage increased to $13.50 but we are wanting to get a better quality of seasonal
employee. Therefor we are requesting a budget extension of $120,000 which would allow six
people to be hired for five months at $15 per hour.
