RE: 2020 ASSESSMENTS FOR TURNKEY LIGHTING DISTRICT
In reviewing the cash balances for the Turnkey Lighting
District, I project their cash balance at yearend to be less
than adequate. The original resolution stated that no new
assessment will be prepared unless there is an increase or
decrease in the annual anticipated lighting costs submitted by
the Grant County PUD. The past years assessment rate was
changed to $19.00 per parcel. With the anticipated carryover
going into 2020 to be less than adequate, I need to increase the
rate to get back to an adequate carryover reserve going into
2021. With this change to the monthly bill for 2020, we need to
increase the assessment from ($19.00) in 2019 back to ($24.00)
in 2020 which includes the county's administration fee.
Please start the process to increase the assessment rate to
$24.00 per parcel for 2020.
