RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION No. 20- oil -CC
EXECUTION OF COOPERATIVE
PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH KING
COUNTY
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, RCW 39.34, authorizes intergovernmental agencies
to execute cooperation agreements for the purpose of providing services and facilities for the benefit of
the public and participating agencies; and
WHEREAS, each agency, in contracting for the purchase of supplies, materials, equipment and
services agrees at its discretion, to extend the contracts for shared use to the extent permitted by law and
agreed upon by those parties and vendors and
WHEREAS, each agency is responsible for compliance with any additional or varying laws and
regulations governing its purchases, and
WHEREAS, any purchases shall be affected by a purchase order from the purchasing agency and
directed to the vendor(s), and
WHEREAS, the originating contracting agency does not accept responsibility or liability for the
performance of any vendor used by the purchasing agency as a result of this agreement, and
WHEREAS, each agency shall be responsible for payment of any item(s) purchased through a
contract or purchase order that resulted from this Agreement, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that King
County is hereby agree to a cooperative governmental purchasing agreement for various supplies,
materials, equipment and services. This resolution shall remain in effect until the cancelled in writing by
either party.
