Per the approved 2020 Capital budget an RFP was sent out to six vendors of corral panels. See
attached. The budgeted amount for this purchase was $22,000. The RFP requested 200 panels.
All six responded:
Pearson Farm and Fence (Moses Lake) -

$113/panel plus tax

The multiple prices from two of the vendors is different gauges of steel, galvanized.
The two lowest prices are from Pearson Farm and Fence and North 40. Pearson is on the
vendor roster but both are local.
I request authorization to purchase the panels from Pearson Farm and Fence. The one cent
difference doesn't reflect the quality of the steel. In the case of Pearson Farm and Fence the
steel is 14 gauge High Tensile. In the case of the North 40 panels it is 16 gauge and doesn't
specify High Tensile. The selected bid is $24,453.20 with Tax. In addition to the authorization i
would like to use $2453.20 from the Stall Mats capital purchase (Same budget code) which is
budgeted at $8400.

Request for Proposals
200 Corral panels
The Grant County Fairgrounds is requesting proposals for the purchase of 200 Corral panels for use on the
Fairgrounds.
Requirements:
Panels must be 12' in Ingth
Panels must be 5' in height
Single leg on each end
Two middle supports at least
Four or five rail
Pins on one end, loops (at least two) on the other end to allow for a "T" configuration
If your company as cooperative purchase/state contract agreements for your products, please include your
contract number with your proposal.
Sales Tax:
The proposal must include Sales Tax at the Fairgrounds County rate of 8.2%
The Proposal must include freight to the Fairgrounds
