10:02 a.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a budget
extension request in the amount of $25,217.47 from the Sheriff's Office to receive US
Department of Homeland Security grant funds through the State Emergency Management
Division #E19-110 for FY2018 to purchase new office furniture, ceiling speakers, three (3) TV's
and speakers, and antennas/cabling for the ham radios to be installed.
Darrik Gregg, Chief Deputy of the Sheriff's Office, stated that due to lack of time after the
previous budget extension hearing that was held December 30, 2019, that request was withdrawn
and this new budget extension is being heard.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Taylor to close the
public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Taylor
moved to approve the budget extension as presented. Commissioner Stevens seconded and the
motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned.
