RE: New Maintenance Position
Central Services respectfully requests the Boards authorization to create and hire a new position
under Central Services performing maintenance work primarily at the Fairgrounds.
This position is needed as we only have a single supervisor and one maintenance IV position
supporting the need for maintenance at the facility. Due to the lack of that support it has been
difficult to keep up with the requested needs, the preventative needs, and the ability to not defer
maintenance which cost the County more in the long run.
The new position will be a Maintenance III. I am currently working with Human Resources on
the exact job description and salary range. It is expected to fall between band 6 and 8 increasing
the facilities budget by approximately $40,000-50,000 per year.
The entire staff within Central Services would sincerely appreciate the Boards support in adding
this new position.
