I am requesting your authorization for Out of State Travel for our Corrections Command Staff, Chief
Deputy Kriete, Lieutenant Durand, Lieutenant Coats, and Corrections Sergeant Erickson.
The Corrections staff will be traveling to Las Vegas, NV to attend- Jail and Prisoner Operational and
Legal Issues Conference. The topics to be covered include:
- "Sex in the Jail- Gender Identity or What you Feel you Are"
- "Sex, Power and Staff Misconduct in the Jail"
- "Hardening Target Jail: Simple Steps to Deflect Litigation'
- "MAT: Medication Assisted Transitioning- Coming to Jail Near You"
- "Video Analysis of Bad Force Decisions"
- "Ending Governmental Establishment of Religion in Jails and Prisons"
The training is put on by a Nationally Recognized Certified Litigation Specialist. The conference dates
are January 13-16, 2020.
