Re: Resolution to create New Funds #211.000 and #311.000 for Sales/Use Tax — Criminal
Justice Funding
The passage of Grant County Proposition No. 1 — Sales and Use Tax for Criminal Justice
Funding in November, 2019 allows Grant County to impose a local sales and use tax to fund law
enforcement functions.
We are requesting the creation of two funds (below) to properly account for the sales and use
taxes to be collected and monies to be spent pursuant to this proposition.
• Fund #211.000 — Sales/Use Tax — Criminal Justice Debt Service
• Fund #311.000 — Sales/Use Tax — Criminal Justice Construction
