NOTICE TO SUPPLIERS
Sealed bids plainly marked "Bid for Steel Canopy Body" will, be received by Grant County at the Grant
County Public Works Office located in Ephrata,. WA. 124 Enterprise Street, Ephrata, WA 98823, until 9:00
A.M., Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 and will then and there in the Public Meeting Room be opened and
publicly read.
This contract provides for furnishing and delivering a Steel Canopy Body in accordance with the plans
and specifications.
Plans, specifications and bid documents may be obtained from the Public Works Department at no
charge. Informational copies of the maps, plans, and specifications are on file for inspection at the
Public Works Department of Grant County, 124 Enterprise St. SE, Ephrata, WA 98823.
The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington, reserves the right to reject any and
all bids. The award of this proposal, if made, may be made in whole or in part as determined to be in
the best interest of Grant County.
The improvement for which bids will be received are as follows:
Bid Specifications for Steel Canopy Body
General Specifications
This spec is patterned after the Knapheide KC7132H2O94 Steel Canopy Body.
-133.25" L x 94"W x 90" H (40" H side compartments) - 20" side compartment depth - Curbside
Horizontal (RH) compartment extends to rear of body -14 and 16 gauge galvanneal steel body shell —
Keyed alike stainless steel paddle handles with rotary style latches - Master locking system installed on
both sides of body - Transverse -style L V 1 compartment extends to the back of R V 1- (2) adjustable
divider shelves in R V 1 compartment - (2) adjustable divider shelves in each L V 2 and R V 2
compartment - (1) bolt t- in divider shelf in R H compartment - (1) adjustable divider shelf in each L R
and RR compartment - Double -panel galvanneal doors on rear of canopy (20 gauge outer, 14 gauge
inner): - 49.5"W x 63.1" H clear door opening dimensions - Solid panel; no glass/ glass guards - 71.1"

canopy - (2) at the front corners of canopy body - (2) at rear corners of the canopy - Install LED beacon
light on mounting plates and wire to chassis upfitter switch 1 Install Ford Factory Backup Camera 1

Provide the cost to furnish and deliver (inclusive of shipping) F.O.B., the following items meeting the

1) Sealed bids, plainly marked BID for Steel Canopy Body, will be received by Grant County at the
Grant County Public Works Office located in Ephrata, WA. 124 Enterprise Street, Ephrata, WA
98823, until 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 5, 2023 and will then and there in the Public Meeting
Room be opened and publicly read.
2) The bidder shal submit a bid on all items listed.
3) Proposal signature sheet(s) must be signed.
4) ALL exceptions or changes to the specifications must be attached to the proposal sheet(s) in
written form.
5) The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject or accept all or part of the
proposal submitted by the bidder.
6) The Clock of Record for this bid is the Time Stamp Clock in the Grant County Public Works

before the specified time:
The Grant County Public Works Office, 124 Enterprise Street, Ephrata, WA 98823. The Clock of
Record shall be the Time Stamp Clock at the Grant County Public Works Office.
Steel Canopy Body
The bid opening date for this project shall be Tuesday, May 16th 2023. The bids will be publicly opened
and read in the Public Works Public Meeting Room after 9:00 A.M.
AWARD OF CONTRACT
No materials supply contract will be awarded. However, Grant County intends to do business
with the supplier offering the lowest cost and availability.
The supplier's lump sum bid will be considered along with delivery costs. The County
Engineer's review of each supplier's bid will include the cost of freight and dispatching services.
The work will be given to the company whose product prices along with freight and dispatch
costs represent the best value to Grant County. Consideration will also be given to the following
material supplier performance measurements:
• Price Stability
• Product Availability
• Product Quality
Should the selected supplier be unable to provide the Steel Canopy Body as required the County
Engineer will purchase it from the company with the next best value.
PROSECUTION AND PROGRESS
The supplier shall be capable of delivering the Steel Canopy Body on a date agreed upon
between Grant County and the supplier.
SALES TAX
The bidder shall include all applicable taxes in the proposal items. The bidder is advised that
Grant County is exempt from all federal excise taxes and shall not include federal excise taxes in the
price bid. State sales taxes must be charged to the County for the materials sold or provided. The
successful bidder shall include state sales taxes on each invoice presented for payment.
QUANTITIES
The quanity for this proposal is one (1) Steel Canopy Body as described in the description of
work.
PAYMENT
Grant County pays all invoices on a weekly basis. Payment is normally mailed within two weeks
from the date invoices bills are received.
