3:20 p.m. Open Record Public Hearing to consider an Ordinance Relating to the Provision of Title 15
and the Adoption of Chapter 15 of the Grant County Code, Fire Protection and Administration.
Jim Cook, Assistant Development Services Director, gave an overview of the proposed ordinance
including: regulations for fire codes, Plan Review and Inspections, Fees and Enforcement. This also
includes Transient Residences and the Fire Flow and Fire Sprinkler Requirements for buildings and
structures. Wildland Urban Interface Code will also be addressed, Fire Investigations and Community
Risk Reduction.
This section was "intentionally left blank" in the code and is now being utilized.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stone to close the public comment portion of the hearing.
Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Stone to approve the ordinance as presented. Commissioner Carter seconded.
Commissioner Stone commended the work of the Development Services staff. Commissioner Jones
stated if there is something found in error in the future, it can be' amended at a later date. The motion
passed unanimously.
