RE: Settlement with Gray & Osborne Inc
As the Board is aware there has been an outstanding difference of opinion between the County
and Gray & Osborne Inc, regarding payment for services rendered during the Fairgrounds Sewer
Project. Gray and Osborne submitted numerous budgets for contract administration of which I
did not agree and did not award. These amounts varied between $40,000 and over $100,000.
Numerous letters have gone back and forth between the County and Gray & Osborne by both
James Mitchell and Kevin McCrae. Gray and Osbome's last letter suggested a settlement of
$16,464.22. I will always hold the belief that we owe Gray and Osborne no monetary settlement
whatsoever. In discussions with Kevin McCrae and in the spirit of resolving this issue the
County offered a settlement of $8,000.00 which in a recent letter dated April 1" 2019, Gray &
Osborne has accepted.
With the Boards permission Central Services is requesting a budget extension in order to pay for
and settle with Gray & Osborne in the amount of $8000.00
Respectfully Submitted
