HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 19-074-CCBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Grant County, Washington RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF RESOLUTION No. 19- 01 -cc REVISING THE GRANT COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT FUND WHEREAS, pursuant to an Interlocal. Agreement dated November 15, 1974, Grant County was designated the lead agency to provide, operate, and maintain a County -wide Solid Waste Disposal System; and WHEREAS,'pursuant to said agreement, Grant County acquired a number of sanitary landfills, other facilities, equipment and supplies, all of which belong to Grant County, in order to establish the Solid Waste Disposal System; and WHEREAS, the funds required to operate the Grant County Solid Waste Disposal System should be derived from disposal fees collected from users of the system-, and, ATHEREAS, the Grant County Health District has requested a portion of the existing solid waste disposal fees to fund some of the Grant County Health District's solid waste activities. NOW, TBEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the Grant County Board of Commissioners, ADOPT, effective January 1, 2020, Grant County Public Works will transfer $0.15 per ton of municipal solid waste collected at the Grant County Landfill to the Grant County Health District to fund their solid waste programs as described in the Grant County Solid Waste Management Plan.
