As we spoke during an earlier update, we lost the transmission on the Peterbuilt dump truck at
the fairgrounds. Public works looked at it and stated it was no longer on the ER&R program and
the repair is up to us.
Western Peterbuilt has provided an estimate of $11,298.11 for the installation of a new
transmission this does not include the cost of towing it to Western Peterbuilt.
This truck is a significant piece of equipment the fairgrounds uses regularly. It would be a
serious blow to our productivity to not have this equipment for our use.
Do I have the permission of the Board to give the go ahead to Western Peterbuilt to make the
needed repairs? This cost will deplete our entire fairgrounds budget for equipment repair and
cause us to use funds from elsewhere to pay for the repair. Possibly from the Facilities repairs
budget.
