The person in this position provides developmentally, culturally appropriate and legally defensible forensic interviews for N ictims.of child physical abuse, child sexual abuse, and neglect. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following examples of duties and accountabilities illustrate the general range of tasks assigned to the position but are not intended to define the limits of required duties. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of the position. Employee must comply with all County and department policies, procedures, WAC's, or other regulatory bodies. 1. Conducts forensic interviews of children and youth alleging abuse as referred from law enforcement or Child Protective Services. 2. Facilitates pre/post interview case staffing with the Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT). 3. Provides a written summary of the forensic interview. 4. Prepares a digital copy of the interview for appropriate jurisdictions. 5. Responds to subpoenas and testify when requested. 6. Participates in case revie-ws and present cases when requested. 7. Assists advocate in collecting all relevant child and family history for agency intake. 8. Makes appropriate referrals for family, as appropriate. 9. Enters data into agency- data base. 1o. Enters services into agency data base and state data base (InfoNet). 11. Advocates for victims' rights. 12. Follows County Child Abuse Protocol. 13. Provides mobile interviews as needed. Other work settings as assigned. • Employee may be exposed to odors or vapors in the office or other work settings. • Work may be performed in other environments where the employee may be exposed to sub - sanitary environments, pets, and passive smoking. • Daily exposure to potential verbal and physical aggression with risk of personal safety issues. • Employee may be exposed to cleaning supply odors or vapors. • Work duties may require the operation of vehicles, which involves risks associated with driving including road traffic conditions and inclement weather. • Work duties may require employee to transport client in vehicles.
