With an increase in promoters wanting to use the Fairgrounds for paid events I would like to
propose some additional policies regarding timing and noise.
The first is a policy to limit the hours that music can be played for outdoor events. This results
from an event that used the Rodeo Arena, on a Sunday where we received several complaints.
There is currently a County and City Noise ordinance but we would like to tighten this slightly
for outdoor events.
For any non -fair week event with live music the hours for the music are from Noon until 9 pm.
Sunday through Thursday and Noon until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The second proposal is to limit the frequency of like "Paid" for profit events. We have several
promoters vying for spots for their events but we don't want the events to saturate the use of
the facilities and we want to see how they do over this next year.
Our proposed policy is this: Paid attendance events that are similar in offering, where alcohol is
served are limited town event every 60 days regardless of the promoter.
