9:00 a.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Meeting to adopt the 2020 Grant
County Preliminary Budget. Commissioner Stevens stated the preliminary budget amount is
$138,329,252.52 and Current Expense is $45,901,460.45 (increase of approx. 2 million from last
year). This budget includes a 20% increase in benefit costs. It has since been determined that
this estimated increase will be substantially lower.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by Commissioner Carter, to adopt the
preliminary budget in the amount of $138,329,252.52 and recognizing the $45,901,460.45
Current Expense Budget. The motion passed unanimously.
