Re: Consent to Purchase Capital item — Audio cable covers
Per the Fairgrounds Capital purchases I would like to go ahead and move forward with the
purchase of audio cable covers for the Carolyn Fischer stage.
The goal is to provide some protection to audio equipment cables from the Carolyn Fischer
Stage to the audio control console about 35 feet from the Stage.
The budget was approved at $1,200jt was hard to find comparable products but the best
resource ended up being Amazon business.
The highest price was from Wine for a 4 channel cable protector at $205 each. For the budget I
would have only been able to purchase 5 for about 15 linear feet.
Amazon had three different products and seemed to have the best price.
They had a 2 pack channel protector but again, it was $1188 plus tax for 12 pieces or 36 linear
feet.
Next was a product from Amazon, 5 channel, for $59.95 each, totally $719.80 plus tax. (12)
The best product was also from Amazon. Also a 5 channel, rated at 18,000 lbs, 35 inches each
for $54.99 each.
My recommendation is to move forward with the purchase through Amazon at $54.99 each.
Based on the budget of $1,200 the Fairgrounds can purchase 20. The attached estimated cost
from Amazon comes to $1186.60 including tax. Shipping is free.
