Re: Consent to Purchase Capital item — Picnic tables
Per the Fairgrounds Capital purchases I would like to go ahead and move forward with the
purchase of additional picnic tables.
After reviewing the amount of maintenance that the wood picnic tables need it seems like a
good idea to move toward something with less maintenance.
The bids are for a galvanized frame table with a recycled plastic top.
I requested four bids per the county purchasing policy below $5,000
The bid was for (5) 6' tables
Prices include the tables, tax, and shipping.
Belson Outdoors was the highest at $4,397.65 (Above the budget of $3710) and did not attach
sales tax despite requests.
Second was Kay Park recreation at $4,205.00 (Also above the budget) and did not include sales
tax despite requests.
Third was Uline at $3,840.26, still above the budget.
The best price was from Global Industrial at $3,668.38 and includes sales tax
My recommendation is to move forward with the purchase through Global Industrial per the
attached quote.
