Subject: Basin Summer Showdown
Good afternoon,
As you may or may not have heard, I have a local car club in the Columbia Basin named Diverse Society. Last summer we
got together and hosted our first car show at the County Fair Grounds. I invited local merchandise, food vendors, non-
profit groups along with a local DJ. To our surprise we had an amazing turnout with over 90 competing vehicles from all
over the state.
Since after the show, I have had members of the public and other local car clubs reach out to me giving us amazing
reviews. The amount of positive feedback was overwhelming and humbling. They have been reaching out to see if I will
be hosting the event this year.
For this year's event I would love to host it in front of the Courthouse this July 1st or July 29th. I believe it will be a great
event for the community. I would like to close off the roads in front of the courthouse very similar to Anything on wheels
that is hosted by the Ephrata Chamber of Commerce.
I hope the Board of Commissioners will consider this event. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
