Per the 2022 Capital budget, you approved the upgrades of various food booths with a budget
of $55,000. We have a new vendor this year, Smulligans, which has taken over one of the old
booths. For this we are working together to remodel the booth. Our responsibilities are
infrastructure, sewer, water, power and building envelope. In an effort to bring the booth into
code for fire and electrical we are requesting authorization to install a new restaurant hood
with fire suppression.
It was difficult to find three contractors willing to provide a bid and do the installation. I found
two, Spokane Restaurant Equipment and Western Restaurant Supply. The bids are below:
Spokane Restaurant Supply $34,715.22 with estimated installation, taxes and freight
Western Restaurant Supply $31,272.49 with fixed installation, taxes and freight
We are requesting authorization to purchase the hood and installation from Western
Restaurant Supply for the above price. The budget for this purchase is
132.178.00.9112.594186210 with a total available of $55,000.
