It is my pleasure to write a letter in support of Grant County District Court's request for funding to move
forward with a much-needed overhaul of the audio/visual technology systems in the courtrooms. The
current system is outdated and is continuously needing to be "bandaged." With a new therapeutic
court launching this spring,. having a reliable system in place will be key in servicing the participants'
needs, especially if an individual is having to attend court virtually from a treatment facility. District
Court currently does not offer virtual attendance other than thru the jail.
There is little doubt that updating the technology in the courtrooms will further quality and efficiencies
for court staff as well as the court participants and the public in general.
I fully support the efforts of Grant County District Court as it seeks external funding to support this
project.
