We have a request from the Lioness to reduce the Spaceburgers concession rate from 15% to
10% for the Click -It RV show planned for 10 days in March. The Past -President had said they are
struggling to get their volunteers to help, because many are elderly and are not willing to
volunteer where they may be exposed to Covid 19. She said they would likely have to hire folks
to run the concessions stand.
I think it's important that we don't set a precedent for a lower commission, but I also know that
many of the non-profit organizations in the county are not doing well financially. Many that
come to Fair to make their money did not have that opportunity.
For this reason I am requesting that all non-profit food booths, that want to open in the
months of March 1 through April 30, 2021, have a reduced commission rate of 10%. That the
rate then goes back to 15% from May 1 through the end of year, 2021.
