Proclamation
WHEREAS, Deputy Jon Melvin was employed as a Deputy with the Grant
County Sheriff's Office from 1984-2020; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Melvin's dedication and commitment to
Law Enforcement touched many citizens of this County; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Melvin lost is life in line of duty on December 11, 2020;
and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office will retire Deputy Melvin's Call Number
GT -33 in honor of his service to Grant County.
NOW THEREFORE, We, the Board of County Commissioners of the county of
Grant in the state of Washington, do hereby proclaim
GT~ 3 3 CALL NUMBER - RETIRED
and we urge all individuals and communities to join us in this special
observance.
