Re: Retirement of Deputy Jon Melvin personnel number
Dear Commissioners,
On December 11, 2020, Grant County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Melvin passed away
from COVID 19 pneumonia. Upon contact tracing that was completed, it was
presumed that Deputy Melvin was exposed and contacted COVID while on duty
serving the citizens of Grant County. His death is a line of duty death.
I am respectfully requesting the county commissioners issue a proclamation
retiring Deputy Jon Melvin's personnel of GT -33.
