During the budget discussions Central Services requested funding for keyless entry funds for
numerous buildings throughout the County.
Grant County Public Works was among these buildings. Though we have discussed it a few
times, Public Works has informed us that because they would have to perform some work to help
with this project, that they would be unable to do so and again have passed on the installation.
Central Services is requesting we reallocate those funds designated for that facility to the doors
project in general and to internal improvements at the Courthouse. This would include adding
keyless entry to more interior doors, and some requested facilities additions in other departments.
The total allocation that was approved in the capital budget is $98,000.
Central Services would appreciate the Boards support as we continue to improve the workplace
throughout the County.
