The Grant County Finance Committee recently recommended to you that anew fund be
established for the purpose of reserving funds for the purchase and installation of a new County..
wide ERP system. It i's myuoder standing, that you approved that recommendation and therefore,
I ani requesting the creation of a new fund as identified below. -
9 Fund #312.000 — County ERP System.
Additionally, upon creation of this new fund, we are requesting. the transfer of $ 1,000,000.00
from Current Expense reserves to this fund as was also recommended by the Finance Committee.
Finally, the money transferred into this end and any subsequent transfers or revenues recti* A
or earned should be M'Vested by the Treasurer in the County's invest i-aent pool.

ain requesting a budget extension for the transfer of $1,000,000.00 from. Current
Expense Fund, #001 to ERP reserve fund #312 for the County's new ERP system. The
transfer and creation of the new ffind was approved by the BOCC on February 2, 2021
through Resolution No. 21- 1 O -CC a copy of which is attached. I should have included
a budget extension request at the same time that I submitted the request to create the new
.reserve fund.

ESTABLISHME NT OF A NEW FUND
TITLED COUNTY ERP SYSTEM #312,000
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention oft e Board of County Commissioners
that a new Rind #312.000 titled "County ERP System" should be d; establisheand

ERS, this and shall be dedicated for the puil)ose of reserving funds for the
purchase and installation of a new county -wide Enterprise Resource Planning system, and
WHE REAS, the establislunent of said fund and transfer of monies into this fund may be
accomplished without a public heating pursuant to state and county budget laws; 'find
REAS, all ffinds ftansfetTed into this ffind and any subsequent transfers or revenues
recei'ved or eamed should be invested by the Treasurer M' the County's investment pool.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HERE' BY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONE RS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON that
the following fund is hereby created and established as listed above and the Grant County
Auditor and the Grant County Treasurer are hereby directed to establi sh this fund in their
respective offices.

The Finance ConMittee met today, we are recommending we move one million dollars
($1,000,000.00) from our current expense fand to a newly created reserve fund for the
new county Enterprise Resource Planning; (ERP) software system.
