Re: Objection to Marijuana License Application, UBI 603-348-825-001-00005
Dear WSLCB Board Members,
We are writing in response to your February 8, 2021 "Notice of Marijuana License Application."
This site is already in violation of at least two of Grant County's codes.
1. The first violation is fencing which has been installed at the location to begin a marijuana
growing operation without a permit or a site plan review as per Grant County Code
23.04.140.
2. A second violation involves Grant County Code 23.08.245 requiring growing
operations be at least 500 yards from a residence not owned by the grower. The fencing
currently constructed is well within that distance.
Additionally, there are indications of an insufficient water supply for the proposed operation.
Those operating the unregistered grow in the past asked a neighboring landowner to supply
water. After their request was rejected, they hauled water from the nearest town to irrigate their
crop. As to state regulations, we will add that the current, illegally constructed fencing covers an
area far larger than state regulations allow as a Marijuana Producer Tier 2. Finally, we are aware
of neighboring landowners that are against a grow adjacent to or near their property and they are
also asking that the license be denied.

this application. If we do not receive this notice back within 20 days, we will assume you have no
objection to the issuance of the license. If you need additional time to respond, you must submit a
written request for an extension of up to 20 days, with the reason(s) you need more time. If you
