Stone, Vice -Chair Rob Jones, Member Barbara J. Vasquez, Clerk of the board Tom Gaines, Central Services Director Jim McKiernan, Fairgrounds Director Madeline Prentice, Chief Accountant Public: See attached The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget extension req uests: • Sheriff's Office Fund #001, Department #114 the amount of $22,558.21 to cover the difference in the yearly cost between a Support Specialist position and an Emergency Management Specialist position. They were approved in the 2021 budget for the Support position but feel the need for an EM Specialist is greater. • Central Services Fund #001, Department #112 the amount of $78,000.00 to hire a Maintenance III position to work at the Fairgrounds This position was approved in the 2020 budget but was not hired and not carried over into the 2021 budget. A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Jones moved to approve the budget extensions as presented. Commissioner Stone seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The hearing adjourned.
