I am requesting your authorization for Out of State Travel for the members of the
Sheriffs Office to attend the, 2021 Washington State Narcotics Investigators
Association (WSNIA) Conference.
Those planning to attend include- Sheriff Tom Jones, Chief Deputy Dustin Canfield,
Sgt. John McMillan, Sgt. Gary Mansford, Det. Matt Messer, Det. Jason Mitchell, and
Support Specialist Terrie Smith.
They will travel to Coeur d' Alene April 11, 2021 and return at the conclusion of the
conference April 15, 2021. The Conference provides vital information on the following
topics and more.
• Covert Tactical Thinking e Utilizing Technology in Investigations
• Social Media Investigations e Anatomy of an Ambush
• Emotional Survival for Police Officers e Sex Trafficking 101 for Narcotics Officers
Additionally, there are vendors available to share valuable tools and resources.
