Re: Authorization for Purchase- $39,,999.99
I am requesting authorization to purchase a Sport Utility Vehicle for the
Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team, not to exceed $39,999.99. This vehicle
will replace a current ER&R Ford Explorer. The Ford Explorer (#7091) will be
moved to the Sheriffs Office and replace two older model Jeep Liberty SUVs
currently used for travel and staff use.
The funds utilized for such purchase will derive from the GCSO INET Seizure
account (109). In the past twelve months, INET has converted in excess of
$261,000 in drug proceeds from numerous cases investigated.
Recently, INET sold five (5) five seized vehicles totaling $29,500.00. Those funds
have been converted and deposited into the 109 account. The remaining balance
of $10,499.99 will also betaken out of the 109 account, which will cover all
associated costs for the vehicle purchase.
