RE: Budget Extension for Civic Plus (additional features)
Central Services was able to utilize CARES act funding to update and pay for our new web page
which is currently in development and expected to go live in late May to early June. There are
changes we would like to implement that we were not aware of at the time we were quickly
developing the original contract (due to deadlines for CARES act submissions)
These changes include active directory integration which will be critical in our Intranet and
provide the ability to access these pages by County personnel, encrypted forms pages for the
transfer of forms from the county to outside entities providing enhanced security and encryption
standards, a public bids package that allows us to manage the communications regarding bids &
bid information to contractors and providing the ability to manage the bids processes from our
web page. This also include unique header packages (web page designs) that help employees
distinguish between the public facing and internal web pages and provides a unique design for
some offices.
The total cost for this is $27,000 and we would respectfully request a budget extension for the
GOTS Computer Software License budget line 3505. We would like to implement these changes
and are prepared to cost share between the facilities and GCTS budgets to pay for them if the
budget extension is not approved. We also are under a very limited timeline and need to provide
a notice to proceed to Civic Plus to stay on the project timeline without incurring any more
expenses.
We respectfully ask for one of the two following options, both are with the desire that we may
proceed.
Option 1 -perform the budget extension for line 3505 in the GCTS budget.
Option 2 -cost share between the two departments.
