RESOLUTION No. 22- D� 5 -CC
WHEREAS, the following Grant County Sheriff s Office funds do not have an adequate level of
budget for the following expenses:
in the amount of $248,500.00 to purchase Hazardous Materials Response Equipment, training,
and repairs for existing equipment using funds received from a Washington Department of
Ecology 21-23 Spill Prevention Preparedness and Response Equipment Grant Funding (001.114)
in the amount of $39,700.16 to receive funds from a Washington State Homeland Security
Program Grant No. E20-074-1 to purchase Riot Agent Cannisters and Air Purifying respirator
systems for the Moses Lake Tactical Response Team.
WHEREAS, these additional budget expenditures were not anticipated when preparing the 2022
budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with RCW 36.40.140 a public hearing, must be held to authorize
additional budget appropriations.
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of August 2022 at 3:30 p.m., a public hearing was held in the Grant
County Commissioners' Hearing Room.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, that a budget
appropriation in the total amount of $288,200.16 to be allocated to the 2022 budget according to the
following schedule of categories and items:
