Dodson Road Overlay — 2021 Project

FISCAL IMPACT: Central Washington Asphalt was awarded the construction contract for $699,999.00;
the final contract cost was $722,086.67.
This project was funded using Federal Grant Funds (STPR) and County funds. STPR committed
$544,950.00 and the County committed $190,939.08 for a total project cost of $735,889.08.
BACKGROUND: On November 9th, 2021 the Board of County Commissioners executed a contract for CRP 21-07,
Dodson Road Overlay — 2021, with Central Washington Asphalt for $699,999.00. The contract was for an overlay of 2.82
miles of Dodson Road, starting at the N. Frontage Road and ending at County Road 4 -NE.
Section 1-05.12 of the Contract Specification states that once the contractor has performed all the obligations under the
contract a completion date and final acceptance will be established
On April 28th, 2022, physical and substantial completion for this project was granted to the contractor.
Grant County Public Works has received all necessary documentation and releases to close out this contract.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve attached Resolution.
COORDINATION: This agenda item was prepared under the supervision of the County Road Engineer.
