Per the approved 2021 Capital budget I am requesting authorization to purchase (80) stall mats
for the new stalls to be 'Installed in Barn 46 and 47. With asphalt as the base, many horse
owners are concerned their horses will get shin splints. We had planned to install mats for each
stall that is currently asphalted beginning With Barn 46 and 47.
I solicited four quotes as follows:
Basin Farm and Feed (Local) $379 each $30320 plus tax of $2546.88 $32,.866.88
Includes freight
Classic Equine $485 each Plus tax and freight $481773.60
Schneiders $479.99 each Plus tax and freight $47,547.93
Greatmats $417.60 each Plus tax and freight $42,147.46
I am requesting authorization to purchase the above stall mats from Basin Form and Feed,
The budget line item for this purchase would be 126,,168,00*9116,#5737035000 Stall mats. with
a budget of $32,000. The extra $86`6.88 is requested to be trans ferred from
126.168.00.9116,.594736210 Stalls in 46 and 47 to 126,168.00*9116*5737035000
