RESOLUTION INITIATING COUNTY RESOLUTION No. 23- -CC
ROAD PROJECT DESIGNATED AS
CRP NO. 023-01
WHEREAS, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED THAT HIAWATHA/DRUMHELLER TRUCK ROUTE DESIGN,
State Road Log No. 40555 from milepost 4_.63 to milepost 12.54 be improved as follows:
This project will design a new truck route on the West side of Moses Lake. The proposed truck
route would connect the Hiawatha Interchange at 1-90 to the existing Airport Street SW/SR17
intersection, or preferably it would connect to the SR17/SR282 split with a roundabout, subject to
successful right-of-way acquisition and WSDOT coordination. The proposed 7.3 -mile truck route
would have a 34' BST wearing surface, comprised of 12' lanes, 5' shoulders, and separated trail.
The future construction work would include culverts, roadway excavation, embankment, crushed
surfacing base, top course, and a BST wearing surface.
This project is hereby declared to be a public necessity and the County Road Engineer is hereby ordered
and authorized to report and proceed thereon as by law provided. (RCW 36.75.050, 36.80.030,
36.80.070)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road
fund budget and based on the County Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the
purposes shown:
