Year-end Budget Extensions

The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the following budget extension
requests:
• Fund# 102.144 -Cares Act Elections: $332.21 (due to remaining Grant Funds)
• Fund# 105.000 -Cumulative Reserve: $14.74 (due to carryover from 2011, write off and close
fund)
• Fund# 110.152 -Law Library: $1,077.79 (due to expenses exceeding budget)
• Fund# 116.159 -Fairgrounds: $179,000.00 (due to additional expenses related to additional
revenue, no cash requirement)
• Fund# 190.001- Grants Admin: $3,933,096.00 (due to additional expenses and grant revenue
received)
• Fund# 504.000 -Payroll Remits: $1,588,700.00 (clearing account for payroll related payables
(taxes and retirement))
• Fund# 508.183 -Other Payroll Benefits: $185.,000.00 (due to Flexible Spending Account, was not
included in the 2022 budget)
Katie Smith, Chief Accountant, explained the budget extension requests.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jones to close the public comment portion of the hearing.
Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Carter to approve the budget extensions as
presented. The motion passed unanimously.
