RE: Request for Purchase of County Vehicle
Board Members:
Amy L. Paynter, Program Coordinator
On behalf of the Community Court program, I would like to request funds in the amount of $6,000
be preapproved for release to purchase a 2016 Ford Explorer that is being replaced in the Sheriff s
Department. It is my understanding a new vehicle is still being built but that this vehicle is
anticipated to be available for sale after the first of the year, and it is hoped our program could
have top priority to pursue its purchase.
Funding for this vehicle would come equally from both grants held by this program: Community
Court grant fund 001.102.00.9047.512406003 ($3,000) and Community Justice Counselor grant
fund 001.102.00.9048.512406003 ($3,000). This vehicle will mainly be used to assist in
transporting program participants to and from services and court hearings, and for in-state
conference or training attendances by staff.
