The 4H bathroom project has a series of change orders for unforeseen conditions and for the
installation of an enunciator system for the fire alarm that was not properly included in the bid
documents by the architect, nor bid upon by the fire alarm company but is required in the
building by code.
The totals for these change orders are a little over $100,000 and has taken considerable time and
effort to both ascertain the reason why and find a path forward.
Central Services is not in favor of a budget extension and asking for more funding, instead we
are requesting a transfer of funds from the approved 2023 capital budget for the fairgrounds
projects as follows.
