OFFENDER/DIVERSION: All civil and criminal matters are still being held via WebEx, and we only have in person court hearings for Dispositions and Trials. The diversion referrals have been increasing. We currently have 266 active cases. ii. TRUANCY: We currently have 114 active petitions, 96 total stays, 4 filed so far this school year, 6 stays lifted, and 0 contempt of court filed this school year. DEPENDENCY: The dependency unit is also doing regular docket hearings, via WebEx. Our dependency unit currently has 216 active cases. 2) Martin Hall: Since the month of September, we have had 7 instances when my staff had to wait for MH making the total intake process longer than 4 hours. I am currently waiting to hear from Mark Boyer so we can discuss an action plan moving forward. 3) Administration: I. On October 4, 2022 we had an employee safety incident report that was forward to Human Resources where the employee fell and hurt her left ankle. II. On Friday, October 17, 2022 one of my employees got into an accident. The county car was parked on the street and the truck parked in front of the car backed into the county car detaching the front grill area. An Automobile loss notice was sent to Jerry Gingrich and the Insurance company. 4) Needs of the Department 1. 1 reached Decorah as to the GAL Administrator position and she stated that Kirk is working on a strategy regarding this position and the union contract. He will be scheduling a meeting with the union to discuss this, and she stated that they will keep me informed. I am still waiting to post for this position.
