Vasquez, Clerk of the Board Public: See sign in sheet 8:00 a.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider the surplus and sale of real property located in the Royal Slope Area of Grant County (S 18 and 13,. T 17, R 24 and 25) Parcel Nos. 15-1556-000 and 15-0979-001. The second piece of property has an easement through it for the purposes of over, across, under and through parcel No. 150979001 and conveys to the public a perpetual right of way and easement for access for over and across the following described real estate, in entirety; while following the existing road path wherever possible and situated in the Grant County. Darryl Pheasant, Treasurer stated the Grant County Foreclosure Sale will be held online auction November 14-16, 2022. They must pay $1,020.00 to participate. $1,,000.00 of this is refundable. This can be access via his page on the county website. He stated the Assessor gave a starting bid of $45,,000.00. What needs to be decided is where do the proceeds go: Public Works or Current Expense? The Clerk of the Board gave Commissioner Jones a note that stated at her last meeting, the Assessor updated her recommended starting sale price to $52,.700.00. Shaina, call in user, asked the Treasurer for clarification on where to access the online auction. This hearing was originally held October 11, 2022 but one of the parcel nos. was advertised incorrectly: 15-0797-001 which should have been 15-0979-001. Due to this error by Commissioners Office staff, this public hearing was re -advertised correctly and set for today. A motion was made by Commissioner Carter, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Carter to surplus the parcels to sell at the County Foreclosure Auction on November 14-16, 2022 and set the minimum bid at $52,700.00 as recommended by the County Assessor. The motion passed unanimously.
