RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW FUND
TITLED OPIOID RESPONSE FUND

RESOLUTION No. 22- I I D -CC
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners
that a new fund # 13 7.001 titled "Opioid Response Fund" should be established; and
WHEREAS, Grant County has been awarded $2,135,503.00 from the Opioid Pandemic
lawsuit and monies will be spent consistent with the State Opioid Response Plan; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of said fund may be accomplished without a public
hearing pursuant to state and county budget laws; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON that
the following fund is hereby created and established: Opioid Response Fund, and the Grant
County Auditor and the Grant County Treasurer are hereby directed to establish said fund in
their respective offices and the Grant County Treasurer is directed to invest these funds for the
benefit of the fund.
