RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A NEW FUND
TITLED ARPA PILI FUNDS #194.001
RESOLUTION No. 22-1 (-,\:3 -CC
WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners
that a new fund # 194.001 titled "ARPA PILT Fund" should be established; and
WHEREAS, this fund shall be dedicated to the funds received pursuant to the American
Rescue Plan Act passed in March 2021; and
WHEREAS, Section 605 of the Social Security Act (the Act), as added by section 9901
of the American Rescule Plan Act of 2021, pub. L. No. 117-2 (Mar. 11, 2021), established the
Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund; and
WHEREAS, Grant County will receive approximately $1,846,448.00 from the US
Treasury through the ABPA Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund; and
WHEREAS, the establishment of said fund and transfer of monies into this fund may be
accomplished without a public hearing pursuant to state and county budget laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON that
this fund is hereby created and established as listed above and the Grant County Auditor and the
Grant County Treasurer are hereby directed to establish this fund in their respective offices and
the Grant County Treasurer is directed to invest these funds.
