2:45 p.m. The Commissioners held an Open Record Public Hearing to consider a budget extension
request in the amount of $9,491,745.00 for the newly created Fund #191 titled "Local Fiscal Recovery
Funds" (LFRF). These funds are being received through the American Rescue Plan Act that is being
provided to counties to respond to the COVID-19 emergency.
Madeline Prentice, Chief Accountant stated the Board previously approved the creation of this account
and this is the budget extension to spend the money.
Darryl Pheasant, Treasurer asked if the commissioners have put together a committee yet, to review the
spending of the funds. Commissioner Carter said not as of yet, they are still reviewing the guidelines.
A motion was made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Jones, to close the public
comment portion of the hearing. The motion passed unanimously. A motion was made by
Commissioner Jones, seconded by Commissioner Stone to approve the budget extension as presented.
The motion passed unanimously.
