The American Rescue Plan Act passed in March, 2021 includes Local Fiscal Recovery
Funds (LFRF) to be provided to counties to respond to the COVID-19 emergency. The
disbursement of monies that Grant County is slated to receive from the US Treasury has
necessitated the creation of a new fund in order to properly account for these monies.
I am requesting that we establish new fund # 191 — Local Fiscal Recovery Funds LFRF
to efficiently track and monitor the receipt and spending of the mons that the Count
will r Y Y
receive this year and next. If approval of this new fund is granted, I am also
requesting a budget extension in the amount of $9,491,745 for the first half of the money
expected to be received in the next few weeks.
