I am requesting a budget extension in the amount of $6,300.00 to lease a 100
Po
square foot office within the rt of Mat tawa office: space, . Approximately three
years ago, the Sheriff s office lost ourI substat!on ' 'in Desert Aire when the
homeowners association converted the building into a vilsitor's center. We have
not had a substation in the Mattawa area since th.en. The space leases for'$350
per morith and if approved, the lease would start oJuly 1st, 2021,,and end on

December 3111, 2022 (1 % year lease). The Sherl'if s, Office has a need for an office
space forour Deputies to conduct business outside of their patrol vehicles, This
would also encourage our Deputies remain present in the most South portion's of
our county*
This expense was not a budgeted item in the Sheriff's Office budget, and I am
requesting the lease be funded out of law and justice fund.
