As you know, the Juvenile Department has received $74,992 federal VOLA grant funds through
the WA State Department of Commerce for the VCAN 'Initiative for FY22 which spans over two
budget years: 2021 (July -Dec) and 2022 (January -June). Due to this we anticipate more
expenses incurred in 2021 than revenue received to reimburse it, however, in 2022 the
remainder of revenue from this grant will be received.
We are requesting a budget extension in 2021 for expenditures of $46.381 and revenue of
$25,079. In 2022, we are requesting expenditures of $46,360 and revenue of $49,913 (see pg. 2
for details).
The difference will be toward match requirements and can be absorbed in our budget due to
our furlough savings earlier this year.
This letter is to formalize the revenue & expenditure budget extension request and to notify
Accounting to update our department budgets for Grant County Budget Year 2021 and Grant
County Budget Year 2022.
