RESOLUTION VACATING THAT
PORTION OF THE BRUNSCH
ESTATES SUBDIVISION DEDICATED
TO THE PUBLIC AS A PARK,
ASSESSOR PARCEL NO. 12-0047-002
RESOLUTION NO. 21- Oq q -CC
WHEREAS, the County has received an application to vacate Grant County Assessor
Parcel 12-0047-002, and
WHEREAS, RCW 5 8.17.212 permits the County to vacate a portion of a subdivision
dedicated to public use, and
WHEREAS, Grant County Assessor Parcel 12-0047-002 was dedicated to public use as a
park when the Brunsch Estates subdivision was established, and
WHEREAS, the County has never developed Grant County Assessor Parcel 12-0047-002
into a park, and
WHEREAS, Grant County Assessor Parcel 12-0047-002 is too narrow to be effectively
used as a park, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that retaining Grant
County Assessor Parcel 12-0047-002 is not in the public interest, and
WHEREAS, RCW 5 8.17.212 provides that land vacated that was dedicated for public use
shall vest with the persons owing the property on each side thereof, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that the persons owning
the property on each side of Grant County Assessor Parcel 12-0047-002 are Michael and Sally
Hymes, who own parcel numbers 12-0022-000 and 12-0021-000 to the north of the County Parcel
and Richard D. Rosenow, who owns parcel number 12-0023-000 to the South of the County Parcel,
and
WHEREAS, notice to the public was provided pursuant to RCW 58.17.090.
WHEREAS, an open public hearing was held on July 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. pursuant to
RCW 58.17.090.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COMMISSIONERS OF GRANT COUNTY AS FOLLOWS:
Grant County Assessor Parcel 12-0047-002, is hereby vacated. The land shall be attached
to Parcel numbers 12-0022-00, 12-0021-00 and 12-0023-00, with the North half being allocated
to 12-0022-00, 12-0021-00 and the South half being allocated to 12-0023-00.
