RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF INTERAGENCY
AGREEMENT (INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT) BETWEEN
WASHINGTON STATE
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE
COURTS AND GRANT COUNTY
JUVENILE COURT FOR THE SUPPORT
OF CASA PROGRAMS
RESOLUTION No. 22 -,J -CC
WHEREAS, Chapter 39.34 RCW, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, permits local
governmental entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to
cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage, for the purposes of providing
services and facilities in a manner and pursuant to forms of governmental organization that will
accord best with geographic, economic, population and other factors influencing the needs and
development of local communities; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, Washington, and Washington State Administrative Office of
the Courts are vested with authority to enter into an interlocal agreement pursuant to chapter
3 9.3 4 RCW; and
WHEREAS, the Grant County Juvenile Court enter into this Interlocal agreement for the
Court to increase the number of children served by court-appointed special advocates (CASAs)
in dependence matters or to reduce the average caseload of volunteers to recommend CASA
standards; and
WHEREAS, Grant County, by and through Grant County Juvenile Court, and the
Washington State Administrative Office of Courts desire to enter into this Interlocal agreement
for the support of CASA Programs for a period of performance of July 1, 2022 through June 30,
2023;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the attached Interagency Agreement
that was executed by the Grant County Commissioners on August 11, 2022, between the
Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts and Grant County Juvenile Court.
